Our lab focuses on developing sustainable biorefinery processes to convert biomass into value-added products. We aim to establish scientific knowledge and advance technologies in biomass conversion to achieve a sustainable bioeconomy.

- January 26 2026 – A new paper is featured on the Inside Front Cover of Green Chemistry!!
- January 5, 2026 – Roshan (MS student), Yuma (UBC undergrad), and Siwan (UBC undergrad) joined our lab. Welcome!!
- December 11, 2025 – Our lab participated in the 2025 BPI Connect event, where Tuan and Siti teamed up to showcase our recent work on the mechanochemical production of CNCs.
- November 2 – 6, 2025 – Our lab attended the 2025 AIChE Annual Meeting in Boston. A huge congrats to Maria for winning 1st place in the poster session at the AIChE Annual Student Conference!
- September 1, 2025 – Nana (PhD student), Wenrui (visiting PhD student), and Binya (UBC BEST undergrad) joined our lab! Welcome!
