Our lab focuses on developing sustainable biorefinery processes to convert biomass into value-added products. We aim to establish scientific knowledge and advance technologies in biomass conversion to achieve a sustainable bioeconomy.

- April 1, 2025 – Our lab has launched a new research project, Manufacturing Lignin-based Fire-Retardant Materials, in collaboration with Prof. Koo at Kyungpook National University.
- March 1, 2025 – Our lab has launched a new research project, Lignin-based Gel Polymer Electrolyte for Energy Storage Materials, in collaboration with Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT).
- February 1, 2025 – Our lab has launched a new research project, Hydrophobic Lignin-Based Structured Coatings, in collaboration with Prof. Orlando Rojas.
