Our lab focuses on developing sustainable biorefinery processes to convert biomass into value-added products. We aim to establish scientific knowledge and advance technologies in biomass conversion to achieve a sustainable bioeconomy.

NEWS HIGHLIGHTS
- February 1, 2025 – Our lab has launched a new research project, Hydrophobic Lignin-Based Structured Coatings, in collaboration with Prof. Orlando Rojas.
- January 1, 2025 – Nathan & Maria (UBC Forestry Bioeconomy Science & Technology; BEST) joined our lab as co-op students. Looking forward to their contributions and collaboration. Welcome!

- October 2, 2024 – Our lab has been awarded a NSF – Global Centers program grant, “Global Center for Sustainable Bioproducts.” (NSERC link)
